UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admission Service) is the only UK central organisation through which applications are processed
for entry to full-time undergraduate courses, HND's and University diplomas. Its purpose is to help all school and college
students who want to enter Higher Education gain a place at the institution of their choice. UCAS handles somewhere in the
region of 400,000 applications from prospective students every year, so it has a vital role in fulfilling the dreams of many
young people in the U.K.
